New York has no revenue cap for cottage food sales.
New York has no revenue cap (previously had one, removed in recent years). Must register for a Home Processor Exemption with NY Agriculture & Markets (free, ~2 weeks). If on private well water, must provide water analysis. Chocolate and chocolate-covered items are prohibited — NY is the only state with this rule. No wholesale. Proposed bill A5836 (2025) would reimpose a $12,500 cap.
